Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, Uttarakhand prides itself on having one of India’s best hiking trails and attracting tourists from all over the world. The majestic beauty of these mountains looks refreshing to the eye.

Visitors can enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding area. There are many hiking trails in Uttarakhand that take you to various cities, temples, lakes, glaciers, waterfalls, and other attractions.

Kuari Pass Trek

One of the easiest trips to Uttarakhand, suitable for beginners, the Kuari Pass Trek is also known as the Curzon Trail as it was first covered by Lord Curzon in 1905. Accessed by a soft goat track, the tour offers an amazing view of a few peaks like Kamet. , Gauri Parvat, Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, Neelkanth, and Kedarnath.

Apart from this, the trip offers you the opportunity to walk through birch, bamboo, oak, and conifer forests, pristine rivers, exotic wildlife, a peaceful environment, and green meadows. Also passing Vinayak Pass and Tai top. Located in the Nanda Devi Biosphere reserve, the trek starts from the village of Dhak, continues to the Tali camp, and then to Gorsen Bugyal.

Listen to the roar of the Mandakini, Kaliganga and Dhauli Ganga rivers. The experience of exploring this beautiful summer place in India will be memorable.

Valley of Flowers Trek

Adorned with attractive wildflowers and a variety of animals, the Valley of Flowers trek is a haven for nature lovers and photographers. The valley was founded by mountaineer Frank Smith in 1931.  Considered one of the best hiking trails in Uttarakhand in Monsoon, the Valley of Flower trek has narrow passages, rocky terrain, steep slopes, and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

Arrive in Rishikesh where you catch a bus to Joshimath (11 hours). Later, reach Govindghat where you embark on a 14-kilometer trek along the Lakshman Ganga River. From Ghangria, it is a 3-km climb to the valley.

As you climb this terrain, it takes several hours to reach the main valley. When you reach the plains, explore the area, experience natural magic, and do not forget to click on the pictures of flowers, birds, and butterflies.

Deoria Tal

Plenty of greenery in the forests, bird watching, and hiking are the highest peaks of the Deoria Tal Chandrashila peak Trek. Deoria Tal and Chandrashila Trek with the town Chopta are a short walk that offers an amazing view of the surrounding area. The first part of the trek takes you to Deoria Tal, at an altitude of 2438 feet above sea level.

From Chaukhamba Peak to the lake, enjoy a natural view of the water in the mirror. Continue toward Chopta through the lush meadows of the Himalayan foothills. The trail then takes you to the Tungnath temple – King Shiva’s highest temple in the world.

Explore exotic plants and animals, as you explore the landscapes of Bandarpoonch peak, Kedar Peak, and Chaukhamba peak. After a long journey from the temple, you arrive at the summit of Chandrashila. The panorama around here is magical which makes it an excellent summer trip to Uttarakhand near Delhi.

There is accommodation at Himalayan Eco Lodges and Camps in Kund, the base of the Deoria Tal and Chandrashila tour. The site overlooks the Mandakini River at the foot of the Kedar.

Kafni Glacier Trek

Located just south of Nanda Kot hill, on the east side of Pindar canyon, the Kafni glacier is blessed with a peaceful and beautiful place, popular among travelers. The area also has exotic plants and animals. The place has an invincible attraction. The glacier includes the same journey as far as Diwali, as does the Pindari glacier. The Kafni glacier is located 12 km from Diwali by Byali Udiyar.

The trail is wide and covered with flowering rhododendron trees. The majestic Himalayan peaks seen here are Nandabhnar (6236 m) and Nandakot (6860 m). After Diwali, only camping and camping are possible. Set up camp at the Bali Udiyar grassy plains and caves and pat her back to plan a holiday in Uttarakhand.

Panchachuli Base Camp Trek

Nestled with snow-capped peaks, the Panchachuli Base Camp begins in the village of Darma in the Pithoragarh region. Dar is the last resort of 42 km in Dharchula. Traveling from Dar to the snow is fun. The trek takes you to tribal villages such as Sela, Bongling, Duktu, Nagling, Baling, and Duktu located along the Dhauliganga River, as well as dense deodars, Bhojpatra, and conifer forests.

The 5 snow-capped peaks of Panchachuli offer stunning views and adorn Him Khand, the Yuli River is covered with lush Deodar forests, and conifer trees. The natural beauty throughout the trip is unparalleled.

Auden’s Col Trek

Another difficult trip to Garhwal district, Auden’s Col tour includes two villages, the Rudragaira district, and the Bilangan district. From Gangotri, the trail reaches the Nala camp, crossing birch and pine forests. Next is a day trip to Rudra Gaira Base Camp which offers spectacular views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks.

The next stop is at the Gangotri camp from where the journey to Auden’s Col camp begins. A trip to the Khatling glacier though difficult but worth it because of the amazing views. The descent begins after Masar Tal, and Vasuki Tal, and ends at Kedarnath. The thrilling experience makes it one of the best summer trips to Uttrakhand.

Situated at an altitude of 5,490 feet, Auden’s Col is one of the highest peaks in the Garhwal Himalayas. Starting out on a journey is indeed an exciting event. Adore views of Rudragaira, Join, Bhagirathi, and the peaks of the Kedar Dome.

Milam Glacier Trek

Considered one of the most famous tours in Uttarakhand, Milam Glacier had to make it to the list because of its magnificent trail and excellent walking experience. This tour is probably one of the best ways to explore the highlands of the Kumaon Province of Uttarakhand, which includes seeing some of the valleys and suburbs; discovering the source of the Goriganga River, and visiting the elevated Inanda Devi Temple in Martelli.

The trek also offers a view of some of the magnificent canyons along which glistening streams flow. A look at the ghostly peaks and peaks of the Inanda Devi and Trishul mountains makes this trip worth every effort. Milam Glacier’s journey begins in the beautiful city of Munsiyari, famous for offering the opportunity to view the magnificent Panchachuli Peaks. Kedartal Trek

Mt Meru Base Camp Trek

If you have never heard of Mt.Meru Base Camp, this is your chance. Meru is 6660 meters high in the Garhwal Himalayas and is considered one of the best destinations in Uttarakhand. From the sanctuary of Gangotri, the trail is similar to the Gaumukh-Tapovan Trek and exits from Tapovan, an icebreaker that leads to Meru Base Camp.

The view throughout this trek is amazing with the high peaks of the Himalayan Peaks and the Bhagirathi River as your continuous friends. One can enjoy the views of two beautiful peaks, Mt Shivling and Mt Thalaysagar on this tour.
