Itinerary
Day 1: Arriving in Manali
The trip begins from Manali. Manali is a town situated at the northern end of Kullu Valley. It is a popular tourist destination. You can take a day to relish the beauty and attractions of Manali. You can visit the local market and explore the cuisine.
Day 2: Manali to Jispa
From Manali to Jispa it is a 150 km drive on which you drive over the Rohtang Pass, crossing the small and quiet villages of Lahaul. You shall also encounter the confluence of the Chandra and Bhaga rivers. The route will take you through distinctive landscapes of high mountains. Jispa is a small village in Lahaul Valley.
Day 3: Jispa to Saracho
A 250 km long journey, the ride starts early in the morning. Crossing Zing Zang, Suraj Tal, and Baralacha la, you reach Sarachu and camp there for the night.
Day 4: Sarachu to Leh
From Sarachu, the next day you’ll take another 250 km ride toward Leh. Crossing Ghata Loops, Moore plains, and Tanglang La (the second highest pass, you’ll reach Leh by the evening.
Day 5: Leh to Kargil
A 220 km journey to be taken in 4-5 hours, the road trip to Kargil is a unique one. You’ll pass by Mulbek, a huge Buddha sculpture on a rock mountain, and Lamayuru, one of the oldest monuments in Ladakh. You’ll also come across Moon Landscape and could consider paying a visit to Gurudwara Pather Sahib.
Day 6: Nubra valley
Riding up the amazing Khardung la pass you’ll reach the most picturesque Nubra natural depression known all around India.
Day 7: Nubra to Pangong Tso Lake
It is a 120 km long ride. You’ll go through Nubra-Diskit village- Khalsar Village-Agham village- Shyok village-Durbuk Tangtse- Pangong Tso. It is the most adventuresome ride on the trip and reaching the Pangong Tso lake is the most rewarding and soothing experience.
Day 8: Pangong Tso to Leh
From Pangong Tso, the bikers shall head back to Leh. You’ll see majestic landscapes and beautiful places on the route.
