Introduction

The well-planned Leh Ladakh Bike Tour in 2022 will allow you to appreciate the beauty of the mountains. The beautifully crafted 10-day tour package makes your bike the most trusted companion on an exciting adventure. Pass through the Himalayas, which are known for their icy mountain streams, picturesque lakes, high-altitude passes, and other attractions. This Ladakh bike trip will leave you with unforgettable memories that you will treasure for the rest of your life.

Itinerary

Day 1: Bus Arrival in Manali-

Upon arrival in Manali, proceed to the pre-arranged hotel. Complete the check-in procedures and take a short break. Enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on an exciting motorcycle trip to Ladakh. The sounds of your bike reverberate throughout the valley. Ride along the rushing Beas River on one side and the majestic Himalayas on the other.

Day 2 Manali to Jispa (150 km)-

Get up early in the morning because you have a busy day ahead of you. Today, you’ll be driving through the breathtaking Rohtang Pass. The high-altitude pass’s hairpin bends will make you feel like a daredevil. Despite the unpredictable weather, many visitors come to participate in snow activities. The pass, which is one of the highest in the world, is also a gateway to Lahaul and Spiti Valley. Because of its abundance of monasteries, Lahaul is home to Buddhist monks.

Then continue to Tandi, a small village above the confluence of the Bhaga and Chandra rivers. You can also get your gas tanks filled here. You can also get your gas tanks filled here. You then make your way to Keylong. Before Leh, this was the last place to look for a mechanic. Furthermore, your phone will no longer function from this point forward. Check here to see if all of your bike problems (if any) have been resolved. Then, as your final destination, you will travel to Jispa, a charming village. The roads become much smoother from here. Before retiring for the evening, enjoy your meal.

Day 3:  Jispa to Sarchu (120 km)-

Today, Sarchu, you’ll ride your bike to your next destination. The first task of the day is to cross the Bara-Lacha La. (4890 m). Difficulties begin to appear at this point. As altitude increases, the effects of Acute Mountain Sickness may become apparent. Take it easy and don’t overdo it, especially at the summit of Bara-Lacha La. The road from here to Bharatpur is downhill and bumpy. After this point, the road gradually improves as one approaches Sarchu.

Day 4: Leh to Sarchu (250 km) –

The loop is a series of 21 hairpin bends that will take you to the top of Nakee La while keeping your spirits high. It is the third high mountain pass on the Leh-Manali route. Throughout your journey, a narrative about the location and the loop will keep you interested. After a few kilometers of descent from Nakee La, you’ll start climbing again to Lachulung La, the route’s fourth and easiest high mountain pass.

The descent from Lachulung La leads to Pang, a temporary tent settlement. Pang is also a place where most visitors suffer from AMS, even if they have never had it before. The road from Pang to Leh is breathtaking, and the Moore Plains are only 4 kilometers away. The setting is a lovely plateau in the Himalayan foothills. The road is rough, challenging both your car’s suspension and your stomach. As a result, at all costs, avoid attempting to accelerate.

The ascent to Taglang La, the route’s fifth and final high mountain pass, begins from there. The issue isn’t so much the altitude as it is the severely deteriorated road. Stop along the way to relax at two beautiful monasteries, Thiksey and Shey.

Nubra Valley to Leh on Day 5 (160 km)

On the fifth day of your journey, after a hearty breakfast, you will depart for the Nubra Valley via Khardung La. You’ll stop in South Pullu before continuing to Khardung La, the highest motorable road in the world. Take in the scenery, take some photos, and then proceed on your way. Your next stop will be North Pullu, where you will rest and eat some snacks. Then proceed to Nubra Valley. Along the way, you will seek blessings at the Diskit Monastery. You will be able to enjoy the enchanting beauty of the valley from the monastery, which will enchant you.

Day 6: Shyok route from Nubra to Pangong Lake (275 km)-

You will depart for Pangong Lake after a hearty breakfast. China accounts for two-thirds of the lake’s area, making it Asia’s largest brackish lake. You must cross the Chang La on your way to Pangong, which is also one of the world’s highest motorable roads. The majestic beauty of the lake will leave you speechless. When you arrive, check-in at the camp. Explore the serene surroundings of the lake.

Day 7: Pangong to Leh (150 kilometres)

Start your day with a filling breakfast. Then begin your return journey to Leh. This is your final day in this beautiful setting. Visit Leh for the day. You will be visiting Shanti Stupa today. The white Gompa is the town’s most recognizable landmark. When illuminated in the evening, the Stupa is truly spectacular.

Day 8: Begin your journey from Leh to Sarchu (215 kilometers). Continue on the road that took you from Sarchu to Leh. Meanwhile, continue on your journey through Pang.

Day 9: Sarchu to Manali (215 kilometers)

Today is Sarchu’s last day. You won’t arrive in Bara-Lacha La until late in the afternoon. You can take a smooth ride to Lahaul from here. Drive with caution as you approach Rohtang Pass. You will arrive in Manali late at night. Finish the hotel check-in procedures and unwind for the evening.

Day 10: Departure from Manali

Cost

For this article, I’ll assume a minimum average of 25 km/l, which is the bare minimum that any bike, including a Royal Enfield, will provide here. In Delhi, Srinagar, and Manali, petrol costs around Rs. 72.00 per liter, but in Leh, it costs Rs. 76.00 per liter. I’m assuming a safe total meal cost of Rs. 400 per person per day for meals. The cost of your accommodation will be suggested based on where you stay for the night and your itinerary.

For 10 days the cost will be around 25,000/-.
